The film is slated for an August release.

It will be directed by Nikhil Advani and stars Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles, with Bollywood veteran Mithun Chakraborty and Hong Kong veteran Gordon Liu also playing important roles. The film is the first Bollywood film to be shot in China. This is Warner Bros. Pictures's second Bollywood film, Saas Bahu aur Sensex (2008) being the first.
The music of Chandni Chowk To China was released on 2nd December 2008. The album is composed by composers as diverse as Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Kailash-Paresh-Naresh, Bappi Lahiri-Bappa Lahiri and Bohemia.

The winners were selected through viewers' poll. Actor Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone gave away the trophy to the winner, first and second runner up.
The second and third place went to Yashita Yashpal Sharma and Somen Nandi respectively.
Vaishali, who hails from Amravati in Vidarbha, Mahrashtra, has won a Rs 50-lakh music contract with Zee TV, a Hyundai i10 car and an LCD TV.
She was a winner of the last season of Marathi Sa Re Ga Ma Pa also.

Actress Deepika Padukone chose work over her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor, when asked about her priorities in life. Deepika was addressing reporters at the launch function of Tissot T Touch Expert watch on Thursday.
Deepika repeated Ranbir's words when asked about her future plans regarding career and marriage. She said, 'We are too young to get married. For now, both of us want to focus on our careers, marriage would come later.'
As per the sources, the love struckened couple have confirmed their relationship and say that they are engaged.
Asked about her fetish for watches, she said, 'I love watches. Infact, I gifted a watch to Ranbir on his birthday too.'
