| Chandeliers hung from the ceiling against a glittering black back drop at the NCPA and the stage was set for one of the most sensational denim shows in India when the Levi's collection by Tarun Tahiliani set the ramp on fire with New Age styling for the conventional denim jeans at Lakme Fashion Week.
The finale was the denim bride in bleached white jeans covered with jewelled chains and crystals worn by the new darling of the Bollywood screen, Sonam Kapoor.
Levi's by Tarun Tahiliani has definitely revolutionized the way denim jeans will look for the coming season, as women will surely rush to grab them for their wardrobes and wear them not only for formal functions but maybe even when they walk down the aisle with the love of their life.

| Breast cancer awareness was supported by none other than Elizabeth Hurley with husband Arun Nayar and son and William Lauder (Estee Lauder's grand son) , in an attempt to spread awareness for breast cancer. The campaign also saw starlet Sonam Kapoor extending her support to the issue.
"This is to create awareness about a disease, which is very prevalent. Not many people know about the disease, women are embarrassed to talk about it," said Sonam on the cause.
The entire venue was beautifully lit up in pink as a symbol of solidarity with the cause.

| The wait is over! Delhi-6, the keenly awaited collaboration of UTV Motion Pictures and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra after Rang De Basanti, was unveiled at the Dubai International Film Festival, before an audience comprising key entertainment media from around the world. In attendance were Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and UTV's Siddharth Roy Kapur.
The easy camaraderie and free flowing Q and A's between the director, stars, producers and audience at the press conference reflected the spirit in which the movie was filmed. Rakeysh elaborated on his key influences and the theme of the film. The actors described their experience of working with Rakeysh and with a stellar ensemble cast that the director has put together for the movie. The audience was treated to a glimpse of the teaser theatrical trailer slated to be in theatres later this month as well as a longer "first look" of scenes and music from the film. The imagery and music was tremendously captivating, setting up tremendous anticipation for the wordwide release of the film on February 20th, 2009.
The film follows American-born Roshan (Bachchan), who brings his ailing grandmother back to India. Little does he know that the quick trip will turn into the longest journey of his life—a journey within. The backdrop of the story is the ancient walled city of Delhi, a character in herself. She represents the chaos, religion, beliefs and ethos of the Indian people. The pin code of the city is 110006, and with pride of love they call her Delhi-6.

| Abhishek Bachchan began his race for the Guinness Record at noon today (February 22nd, 2009). Rooting for the Guinness Books of Records, Abhishek Bachchan will go on a multi-tour to seven cities in just 12 hours, promoting his movie, Delhi-6. Starting from Delhi, he will cover Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Guragaon, Chandigarh and finally end his tour in Mumbai.
The actor's dream run for the Guinness will be watched and recorded by the Guinness Book authorities who have arrived in Delhi for this purpose. To break the previous record of two German actors, Abhi needs to visit the seven cities, walk the red carpets and sign a few autographs in all the venues before midnight tonight. Media and fans are waiting with bated breaths in all the venues to catch a glimpse the actor. Abhishek is confident that with the support of the public and his team, he would be able to make it to the Guinness Book. “Wish me all the best guys. We can do it for India,†says a hopeful Abhishek.
