A Rocking Birthday Party… Hawaiian style!
Aloha friends! On 2nd September, Ms. Sadhna Romy, owner of Hawaiian Shack, along with Mr. Ritin Ashar celebrated Benny Jacob’s Birthday, amongst a gathering of close friends and well wishers. Stars, Industrialists, Politicians and Socialites alike thronged to the Shack to be a part of the celebration.
Everyone enjoyed the party and the DJs playing different music like retro, rock, pop and bollywood. True to the theme of this nightclub, they belted out a number of oldy-goldies by The Beatles, Madonna, Elvis Presley, Wham and other well-known musicians. Exotic dancers kept the pulses racing with their Shakira moves. Totally in high spirits were Farhan Akhtar and Randeep Hooda, accompanied by his female lead Shahana Goswami from the to-be-released movie Rubaru. Sadhana Romy looked radiant in an orange tunic and was the gracious host along with Mr. Ritin. Priya Dutt along with husband Owen Roncon and Sister Namrata Dutt made their presence felt. Also, seen shaking a leg was Kumar Gaurav (Bunty), Arjun Khanna, Soketu Parekh & Vijay Kalantri looking dapper in a pin-striped suit. Gary Rachardson, flanked by two beautiful ladies, Shifanjali Shekar & Pooja Misra, wore the Hawaiian garland whole night long. Kishore & Kintu Bajaj chatted animatedly with Aarti Surendranath who looked stunning in a white ensemble. Prachi Desai along with producer Ritesh Sidhwani of Rock On fame, were swinging to the tunes as well! Brinda Parekh struck poses for the press while Feroze Nadiadwalla was catching up with Mr. Benny. Hard Kaur was partying harder than ever! Model Tupur looked simply the sweetest in a black racer Tee and jeans smiling for the lens.

Big B felicitates Madhur Bhandarkar for winning the National Award for the Best Film Director, for his film Traffic Signal.
Madhur’s first National award was for Chandni Bar, which was selected as Best Social film, for the year 2002. Followed by Page 3 in 2005, which changed the entire stature of Madhur Bhandarkar. This film, apart from winning him rave reviews, also won the National award in best Feature Film category. Film Traffic Signal now becomes his third in a row National Award, as he is announced as the best film director of 2007, for his work in the film.
