Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan Spotted in car at Akshay Kumar’s Diwali Party. This time couple was not all alone Kareena’s mother Babita Kapoor was giving company to both of them.

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan landed up, followed by Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora Khan together with Amrita Arora. Then there was Akki’s co-actor Deepika Padukone who came with beau Ranbir Kapoor. Cho chweet,na? And when the crowd left, Abhishek-Aishwarya Bachchan and Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia turned up to celebrate the festival at 2 am.

Oberoi Mall kicked off its Diwali celebrations by hosting a special Diwali celebration day dedicated for 50 children from Make A Wish Foundation.

Actor Akshay Kumar and Olympic medalist Vijender Singh took turns in presenting each child with their respective wish gifts.
A play boxing match was followed with the children and the two celebrities. The event concluded with a short boxing bout between Akshay Kumar and Vijendra Singh.

Akshay Kumar said, “I feel honored to have been invited to be a part of such a prestigious event.  Children have always been special to me and I am extremely glad that we were able to brighten their Diwali with a great sense of joy and well being.” Vijender Singh, Olympic Bronze Medalist, also added “I’m very pleased to be given the opportunity to be a part of a celebration like this one where you can actually see the feelings of joy and excitement on each child’s face.”

The CNBC Awaaz consumer awards 2008 were held at Mumbai last evening, felicitating the most preferred consumer brands of India, based on research by The Nielsen Company.

Guests of honour presiding over the function were the minister for consumer affairs and public distribution, Sharad Pawar, and the minister for civil aviation, Praful Patel.
Additional citations for contribution to their respective fields were also awarded, with Bollywood star Akshay Kumar being awarded the title of ‘Brand Ambassador of the year’, wife Twinkle Khanna was present too. IPL commissioner Lalit Modi being awarded for transforming cricket in India, and state owned telecom company BSNL being inducted into the ‘Hall of Fame’ for its contribution. Actor Rahul Roy was present too.

After the unprecedented success of the Anees Bazmee directed Singh Is Kinng, Akshay Kumar has been ‘Singh-ing’ all his way to the bank. The film has not just upped his Bollywood status, but has also made him the advertiser’s darling.

After endorsing brands like Thums Up and Grasim, Akshay has now been roped in as the Brand Ambassador for the American Jeans and casual wear manufacturer, Levi Strauss, for launching its brand Levi’s 501 in India.

According to reliable sources, Akshay has been paid a whopping sum for the endorsement of the jeans brand, whose ads have been shot in some of the most stunning locations of Los Angeles. These ads are expected to go on air from the last week of this month.

Host Salman Khan presented Ranbir Kapoor with a special gift of his grandfather’s potrait made by himself.

Deepika looked gorgeous in green while Minnisha glowed in orange and Ranbir looked handsome in a pin stripped suit. However, Bips was missing from the scene as the actress has still not buried her hatchet with Salman Khan and so she decided to skip being on the show.

This year’s eagarly-awaited romantic comedy, Singh is Kinng grabbed the very expected success at the Box Office. The stars of the movie celebrated the achievement in a grand manner at the Hotel Taj Lands End in Mumbai.
